Students are introduced to the world of abhinaya and bhav (expression and storytelling), and gain an understanding of body alignment, postures, and positioning.
They are further-introduced to foundational kathak vocabulary & language as well as the history, philosophy, and cultural context
surrounding the artform.

Adult Level II - 7:15 - 8:45PM
ADULTS LEVEL II:
Students develop taiyārī (speed, endurance, and technical proficiency) as they begin to expand their vocabulary of footwork, pirouettes, and movement patterns. They work on refinement of hand gestures and body positions, integrating khūbsūratī and nazākat
(beauty and finesse) into their dance. They deepen their layakārī (awareness and ability with rhythm) and accompanying melodic
knowledge, setting them on a path to long-term success. Students gain an appreciation for the aesthetics of kathak while deepening their understanding of the history and philosophy of the art form.
