On March 18th, 2023, Wai Ola, ʻAukele and the Waters of Life – A Celebration of Hula Kiʻi had its world premiere with two sold out performances at Rhythmix Cultural Works in Alameda, California. It was a unique presentation involving a fusion of the arts: dance, song, puppetry, the crafting of traditional regalia & adornments as well as storytelling, featuring heartfelt performances by Kumu Mauliola Cook, Kumu Maile Loo-Ching, and guest artist John-Mario Sevilla.
Due to its success, plans were soon made to bring the performance home to Hawaiʻi.
HONOLULU
Wai Ola was presented with enthusiastic acclaim in two sold-out performances at Tenney Theatre in downtown Honolulu. The event was attended by numerous luminaries of the hula and Hawaiian music world.

SAN FRANCISCO
Due to popular demand, the production returns to Northern California for its final run of performances on November 23 – 24th at Dance Mission Theater in San Francisco. Tickets are on sale.
