MUCID Year-End Fundraising Campaign
My childhood in Washington, DC straddled the end of Jim Crow and the beginning of the civil rights movement. Within a few short years, I went from separate (or no) access to public spaces, to being in a classroom with fellow students from countries I had barely known existed. It was the beginning of my appreciation for what makes each and every one of us unique.
We are now in a moment where not only are we being discouraged from engaging with each other, but actively encouraged to separate from one another! But at the Mahea Uchiyama Center for International Dance (MUCID), we stand firm in our goal to encourage our greater community and to share and learn about our unique heritages.
At MUCID, we consciously celebrate who we are as a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-generational, and LGBTQ welcoming community. This is done through our programs of high-level dance and music training which is open to all. It is inspiring to witness what is possible when we bring the best of ourselves to each other.
Each year, our instruction and performance programs support literally thousands of people, all of whom are positively impacted by the generosity of donors like you.
We hope that you will consider a donation to our non profit organization.
All donations are tax deductible, to the full extent provided by the law, as long as no goods or services were exchanged.
Donate today through a one-time or monthly gift.
Nāʻu me ke aloha,
Māhealani
