This timeless partner dance will leave you feeling elegant and graceful. With musical roots from Cuba and Spain, and body influences from Argentine Tango and the Waltz, make your dance more passionate under the teachings of Bolero dance champion, (Brazil 2016) Weslei Guimarães.
Open level class is good for beginning and intermediate level dancers.

Brazilian Dance (Open Level)
Mondays, 7:45p – 9pm
Rotation of 3 Instructors: Weslei Guimarães, Celeste Davila, and Felice Gomez

Learn about the many styles of Brazilian dance including Samba no Pé, Axé, Afro-Brazilian, Funk Carioca, Samba de Roda, Dança Orixa, and more. This class series will facilitate an exploration of new forms and styles, and develop technique to take your dance to the next level.
Rotating instruction led by core members of the Estrelas dance ensemble.
Open level class is good for beginning and intermediate level dancers.

Forró & Gafieira Fundamentals (Open level)
Wednesdays 6:30p – 7:45p.
Instructor: Weslei Guimarães

Build the fundamentals of Brazilian social dances so you can further enjoy your next night out dancing. Forró from the Northeast of Brazil, and Samba de Gafieira developed in Rio de Janeiro are both energetic and lively dances sure to keep you on your toes.
Open level class is good for beginning and intermediate level dancers.

Samba de Gafieira (Intermediate Level)
Wednesdays 7:45p – 9:00pm
Instructor: Weslei Guimarães

Fine tune your Gafieira dance by expanding on sequences, utilizing embellishments, and tapping into musicality and spatial awareness. This class requires basic knowledge of Samba de Gafieira.
