Rhythmix Island Arts Concert Series honors island traditions from around the world, on the island of Alameda. Journeying through the Caribbean and Pacific to the Java Sea and the Sea of Japan, audience members will gain an appreciation and understanding of the variety of ways that culture is expressed and celebrated through a sampling of the dance and music of these island nations.
Māhealani Uchiyama and Hālau Ka Ua Tuahine will take you on a journey to the islands of Tahiti with an evening of ʻōteʻa, ʻaparima and mehura accompanied by live singing and a traditional Tahitian drum orchestra.
Doors open at 7:00pm with food and drink available for purchase.
